We have deep experience growing pet brands.
For years we have helped pet brands win where owners actually shop and decide: their websites, Amazon, Chewy, Walmart, pet specialty, and the search and social moments in between. Pet is a category we know cold. We also bring the full weight of a full-service growth agency to every brand we take on, so a $20M to $200M pet brand gets deep category knowledge and everything behind it.

We have deep experience growing pet brands.
For years we have helped pet brands win where owners actually shop and decide: Amazon, Chewy, Walmart, pet specialty, and the search and social moments in between. Pet is a category we know cold. The pet market right now
The category is growing. Most established brands are still losing ground.
The U.S. pet industry reached $158 billion in 2025 and is projected to hit $165 billion in 2026, with pet supplies, medications, and live animals growing 4.4% to $34.4 billion, the fastest-growing goods segment in the category (American Pet Products Association, 2026 State of the Industry Report). Ninety-five million households own a pet. Demand is not the problem.
Here is the problem. In category after category, total sales rise while established brands hold flat or decline. We see it directly in the accounts we audit: a category can grow 20% year over year while the legacy brand inside it loses share to lower-cost entrants and factory-direct sellers who move faster on price and listings. The demand is expanding. Someone else is capturing it.
Where that demand gets captured has changed too. Online now accounts for roughly a third of pet sales and climbs every year (Statista). Amazon takes close to half of online pet dollars, Chewy sits second at 41% with 84% of its sales running through Autoship, and Walmart holds third at 33% (Packaged Facts). Each of those marketplaces rewards a different playbook, and pet owners now start many purchases with a conversational prompt like “best vacuum for pet hair” or “best dog toys for heavy chewers” rather than a category search. Value-seeking is rising alongside all of it: 22% of owners reported spending less on their pets in 2025, up 10% from the year before (APPA).
That combination, a growing category, fragmented marketplaces, a discovery shift, and a more price-conscious shopper, is exactly where good brands quietly lose ground. We built our pet practice to reverse it.
The problems we see across pet brands right now
You will recognize yours, and none of them are permanent.
01
Category growth you are not capturing
Your category is up and your brand is flat. Lower-cost competitors and factory-direct sellers are taking the incremental demand because they are more aggressive on price, listings, and placement. Every quarter this continues, the gap compounds and the share is harder to win back.
02
A ROAS strategy that starves new customer acquisition
Most pet brands we assess are over-indexed on bottom-funnel, last-click advertising with a return-on-ad-spend target set so high it quietly caps growth. Efficient spend looks healthy on a report and still loses the market, because it only harvests demand that already exists. It never creates new customers, and share erodes while the dashboard looks fine.
03
Channels that operate in silos
Amazon spend chases Amazon sales, retail marketing chases retail, the website runs on its own. Nothing is built to work as one system. The result is duplicated effort, inconsistent creative and messaging across marketplaces, and no view of how upper-funnel demand lifts marketplace rank.
04
A discovery shift you are not positioned for
Pet owners increasingly find and validate products through review sites, best-of lists, creators, and AI-powered search. If your brand is not present and trusted in the sources those systems pull from, you are invisible at the exact moment a purchase decision forms, no matter how strong your listing is.
05
Marketplace complexity across Amazon, Chewy, Walmart, and pet specialty
Amazon is the largest scale but the most competitive and inventory-sensitive. Chewy converts well and rewards subscription behavior. Walmart is heavily in-store and built for exclusives and launches. Pet specialty still matters for credibility. Running one strategy across all of them leaves money on the table in each.
We work inside the pet marketplace fight every day, not from the outside looking in.
Why eAccountable for Pet Brands
Two superpowers that move a pet brand’s numbers the most.
We are a full-service growth agency with deep, current experience in the pet category. This is not a practice we bolted on. We manage pet-category marketplace programs across Amazon, Walmart, and Chewy for a portfolio of brands that drives eight-figure sales volume, including some of the most recognizable names on Amazon and across the internet.
If a competitor could copy-paste the same claim onto their own site, we do not make it. Everything here is work we do, in your category, right now.
What Makes This Hard to Match
Most agencies can claim one of these. We hold all three at once.
No one in our competitive set combines marketplace scale, portfolio-company relationships, and pet-specific earned and Performance PR the way we do.
What we do for pet brands
A closer look at how we execute each capability for a pet brand
Why eAccountable
We do not make you choose between marketplace scale and DTC margin.
Most agencies specialize in one or the other: marketplace agencies optimize Amazon, Walmart, and Chewy; DTC agencies optimize your site and paid social. Your customer does not see two channels. They see your brand.
We run both as one system — marketplace for reach and new-customer acquisition, DTC for subscription, margin, and first-party data — so the messaging, creative, and measurement align instead of competing for credit.

How we work
What working together actually looks like.
We start with a clear-eyed diagnosis. In the first 30 to 60 days we audit your marketplace accounts, advertising mix, listing content, and off-marketplace presence, and we come back with a direct read on where you are losing share and where the fastest gains are. You will get specifics, not a generic scorecard.
From there we operate as an extension of your team, not a vendor you have to manage. We integrate across Amazon and marketplaces, affiliate and Performance PR, search, and paid media so the channels reinforce each other instead of competing for credit.
We report against the numbers your business and your board actually care about: customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, and margin. When something is not working, we tell you, and we fix it fast.
